What’s the score?
Read this article to be the Seal Beach Volleyball Club Spectator with all the answers when keeping score at volleyball matches.
How many times have you been asked this question at a volleyball match? How many times have you had to ask this question? It is safe to say we hear this pretty much all day long on match days. What is the score… followed by, who is winning?
What about the text back and forth scenario for the parent who cannot make it to the
volleyball match?
Does this look familiar? We all have a text string on our phones that looks something like this. Hey, it’s clear, easy to understand, you can tell who has what score, who’s ahead, who’s serving…right? If you’re the person tasked to send the texts, you’re also enjoying the game… sure you are. No spousal arguments were ever caused by this kind of text string either, right?
Then there is the tech-savvy spectator in every group, maybe there are a few on each team, who appear to be intently focused on the game and their phones. They hold up their phone with a grin every time someone asks that question…you know the question. These are the folks who don’t have to rush to grab a seat in view of the scorecard table. They sit comfortably in their personal lounger off to the side, and everyone sits near them.
We have all been there and secretly asked ourselves…” Wow, how did they get the score on their phone? What app are they using?”
